Uncle Charles visits Chile

Uncle Charles came to Chile on a work-related trip, and we enjoyed visiting together and having him stay with us for the weekend. He is fairly adventurous world traveler, and we had a good time showing him around.

On Saturday afternoon we walked up to the top of Santa Lucia hill and had a nice view of the city.

The hill is reflected in the glass side of a building.

On Sunday, my honey made a hearty waffle breakfast and then we headed out to Pomaire, the pottery village.

After that we drove over to the coastal town of San Antonio and saw some pelicans and sea-lions trashing about in the water.

Monday morning my brother landed in Santiago, and I met him at the airport. After a brief tour of the Embassy, Uncle Charles took us all for a good Indian feast. We all ate too much but left very satisfied.
After lunch we took the funicular incline railway to the top of San Cristobal Hill for great views of Santiago, and then a swinging gondola ride to the other end of the ridge.

In the evening I took my uncle to the airport for his flight home, and then we prepared for our trip to Argentina the next morning.
