The Inlaws Cometh

We welcomed in the new year on our balcony, watching the various municipal fireworks displays.

After a few short hours of slumber, we went to meet my wife's parents who came on the overnight American Airlines flight from Dallas.

We celebrated a late Christmas, and enjoyed eating the orange pie my wife's mother made, using a family recipe so secret even I don't know it.

In the marketplace, ducklings and chicks were going for about $1.50 each. Cheap, cheap!

On Monday evening I headed out for a charity event raising funds for the expenses that the family and friends incurred to bring Andrea Scamihorn home after her untimely death in Chile.
An woman paints over the ubiquitous graffiti.

I don't know why, but I miss Andrea so much today. Maybe it's the closeness to the anniversary.
